Un important sommet industriel europ\u00e9en s’est tenu mercredi \u00e0 Anvers, r\u00e9unissant d’\u00e9minents repr\u00e9sentants de la politique et du monde des affaires pour discuter de la situation difficile et de l’avenir de l’industrie europ\u00e9enne.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>La r\u00e9union est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme le d\u00e9but d’un sommet europ\u00e9en plus large sur la concurrence, qui doit avoir lieu jeudi \u00e0 Alden Biesen, dans le Limbourg.<\/p>\n

Parmi les personnes repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es au sommet figuraient le Premier ministre Bart De Wever, le chancelier f\u00e9d\u00e9ral Friedrich Merz, le pr\u00e9sident fran\u00e7ais Emmanuel Macron et la pr\u00e9sidente de la Commission europ\u00e9enne Ursula von der Leyen. Avec de hauts repr\u00e9sentants de grandes entreprises, les d\u00e9fis profonds auxquels est confront\u00e9e l’industrie europ\u00e9enne ont \u00e9t\u00e9 discut\u00e9s, tels que les co\u00fbts \u00e9lev\u00e9s de l’\u00e9nergie et de la production, une bureaucratie lourde, des conditions de concurrence difficiles par rapport \u00e0 celles des \u00c9tats-Unis et de la Chine et le danger d’une d\u00e9sindustrialisation progressive.<\/p>\n

Dans son discours, De Wever a fortement mis en garde contre une \u00ab crise existentielle \u00bb pour l\u2019Europe si l\u2019industrie ne redevient pas plus comp\u00e9titive, et a soulign\u00e9 que l\u2019innovation, la productivit\u00e9 et la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 doivent d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre la priorit\u00e9 absolue. Dans le m\u00eame temps, les repr\u00e9sentants des entreprises ont r\u00e9clam\u00e9 une approche politique similaire \u00e0 la gestion de crise lors de la pand\u00e9mie de Covid : des mesures d\u00e9cisives et courageuses pour s\u00e9curiser l\u2019industrie et l\u2019emploi.<\/p>\n

L’un des principaux r\u00e9sultats du sommet a \u00e9t\u00e9 l’adoption d’une d\u00e9claration commune (appel\u00e9e \u00ab D\u00e9claration d’Anvers \u00bb) sign\u00e9e par plus de 1 300 entreprises, associations et syndicats. Il appelle les responsables politiques europ\u00e9ens \u00e0 prendre des mesures concr\u00e8tes \u00e0 court terme, telles que la baisse des prix de l’\u00e9nergie, des conditions commerciales \u00e9quitables et un plus grand soutien aux produits \u00ab fabriqu\u00e9s en Europe \u00bb dans les march\u00e9s publics.<\/p>\n

Dans l’ensemble, la r\u00e9union s’est concentr\u00e9e sur la pression \u00e9conomique que subit l’industrie europ\u00e9enne – des co\u00fbts \u00e9lev\u00e9s aux longues proc\u00e9dures d’approbation en passant par le d\u00e9clin de la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 sur le march\u00e9 mondial. Le sommet vise d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 jeter les bases de d\u00e9cisions d\u00e9cisives lors du sommet informel de l’UE \u00e0 Alden Biesen ce jeudi, au cours duquel les chefs d’\u00c9tat et de gouvernement des 27 \u00c9tats membres de l’UE discuteront de nouvelles mesures visant \u00e0 renforcer le secteur industriel.
