L’ancien footballeur belge Glen De Boeck est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 dans la nuit de dimanche \u00e0 lundi \u00e0 l’\u00e2ge de 54 ans. Vendredi, il a subi une grave h\u00e9morragie c\u00e9r\u00e9brale \u00e0 son domicile et est tomb\u00e9 dans un coma profond, a confirm\u00e9 sa famille.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>Glen De Boeck a commenc\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re de footballeur au club de deuxi\u00e8me division du FC Boom. En 1995, il rejoint le RSC Anderlecht via le KV Mechelen. Le d\u00e9fenseur central a disput\u00e9 280 matchs avec les champions du record et a \u00e9t\u00e9 nomm\u00e9 capitaine en 2000. Avec Anderlecht, il a remport\u00e9 le championnat \u00e0 trois reprises (2000, 2001 et 2004).<\/p>\n

De Boeck a \u00e9galement jou\u00e9 34 fois pour les Diables Rouges, notamment lors de la Coupe du monde 1998 en France et de la Coupe du monde 2002 au Japon et en Cor\u00e9e du Sud. En f\u00e9vrier 2005, il a d\u00fb mettre fin \u00e0 sa carri\u00e8re active en raison d’une grave blessure au genou.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s sa carri\u00e8re de joueur, De Boeck est devenu assistant \u00e0 Anderlecht sous la direction de l’entra\u00eeneur-chef Franky Vercauteren. Il a eu sa premi\u00e8re chance en tant qu’entra\u00eeneur-chef du Cercle de Bruges en 2007, o\u00f9 il a impressionn\u00e9 en terminant 4\u00e8me comme \u00e9quipe la plus efficace avec 62 buts.<\/p>\n

D’autres postes ont suivi chez Germinal Beerschot, VVV Venlo, Beveren, Mouscron, KV Kortrijk et KSC Lokeren. En 2023, il revient au KV Courtrai, o\u00f9 il dispute ses neuf derniers matchs en tant qu’entra\u00eeneur.<\/p>\n

De Boeck a v\u00e9cu une p\u00e9riode difficile cette ann\u00e9e lorsqu’il a perdu ses deux parents en peu de temps. Lors des fun\u00e9railles de son p\u00e8re Louis (80 ans), en mauvaise sant\u00e9 depuis longtemps, sa m\u00e8re Louisette s’est \u00e9galement effondr\u00e9e \u00e0 cause d’une h\u00e9morragie c\u00e9r\u00e9brale.<\/p>\n
